Desmar's debut production is an adaptation of the bestselling psychological thriller The Living and The Dead in Winsford by internationally acclaimed and award-winning Swedish author Håkan Nesser. 

The film premiered at BFI London Film Festival with sold out screenings, and was selected for numerous festivals including Tallinn, Gothenburg, and Santa Barbara. The Swedish-British nordic slow burn won Best Feature Debut at the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck and sold out all its four screenings. 

It was shot on location in England and Poland by award-winning cinematrographer Michał Dymek (The Girl with the Needle, A Real Pain, EO) under the helm of debut director Caroline Ingvarsson. Hauntingly scored by Martin Dirkov (The Apprentice, Holy Spider, Border)
